DO YOU WANT POWER is a creative leap for the band, who enlisted Reigning Sound mastermind Greg Cartwright (Jay Reatard, Mary Weiss, Oblivions) to produce the new album. Insistent and irresistible, THE ETTES charge into new territory with a revitalized, wall-of-sound collection of 13 tracks that range from the '60s Girl Pop of "I Can Be Your Lover (But I Can't Be Your Baby)" to the explosive "No Home", recorded and mixed by Dan Auerbach ( The Black Keys). Recorded in in a marathon five-day session in their adopted hometown of Nashville, THE ETTES' new material perfectly captures the band's diverse musical loves: early punk anthems, '60s pop and country - think Patsy Cline and Nancy Sinatra embracing '70s NYC punk. Fresh from their European tour supporting The Sisters Of Mercy, London Black Wave 4-Piece Ulterior returns with their much awaited double a-side Sister Speed / Aporia on KNTRST Records. "Sister Speed", is a three-and-a-half-minute, electronic rock 'n' roll ride, that at times verges on saccharine filled stadium-pop. This track is set to cause riots on dance-floors across the country. The epic track "Aporia" reveals the band's song-writing skills and accentuates their desire for powerful, intense dynamics within their sound. "Aporia" builds from an almost naked vocal and climaxes with the jaw dropping sound of all hell breaking loose. The 10" comes with a free cd-r including Sister Speed remixes by The London Punks and No Bra as well as the "Sister Speed Video"
